Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! Our enterprise activity(selling stamps) went very well last year. We raised an Amazing amount of money. We raised one hundred and fourty four pounds and five pence!

We’ve started on our new project. This term it is the Jacobites. Some of the interesting active learning activities that we will be doing are…

  • Making targes (Jacobite shields.)
  • Designing and weaving our own tartans.
  • Making black houses from modroc.
  • Doing another one of Ms Cochlan’s challenges: designing and building bridges and carts.
  • Also (if we have time) we will be experimenting with vegetable dyes!

We hope you all had super holidays, and enjoy 2008!

I love your active learning activities! If you take pictures of the results, please consider submitting them to the Active Learning Blog Carnival, an online journal about engaging students in learning. http://activelearningcarnival.blogspot.com/. you submit at http://blogcarnival.com/bc/submit_2804.html

I would also add the pictures to http://technologyactivelearning.pbwiki.com/ a repository of active learning examples.
