Miss Cochlan and Primary 6C

Welcome to our new blog page, which is all about giving a big ‘Shout Out’ for all the special things that we in 6C accomplish, both in class and out.

This term alone has seen Kimbirley achieve her Gold belt in Karate and Holly achieve her Orange belt. Kimbirley had to demonstrate a mean rear leg front kick and Holly had to demonstrate a solid round punch. They both had to break planks of wood for their final achievement. Watch out Karate Kid!

Sophie’s won THREE gold medals for horse riding, two for show-jumping and one for cross-country. She’s just acquired a new horse called ‘Flyer’ who she hopes will bring her just as much success in the future, as her other one, Megan. Giddyup Sophie and keep on winning!

Calum’s our gymnastic champion, winning THREE silver medals in a gymnastics competition in Inverurie: one for floor work, one for vault and a final one for overall score. Well done Calum. We’ll look forward to seeing you in the Olympics one day! 

Holly and Aimee achieved acclaim recently when they appeared in a PRESS AND JOURNAL photo shoot, to publicise the Culter Theatre Club’s latest Pantomime: ‘Cinderella.’ They both played the parts of fairies and villagers but Aimee stretched her talents even further to appear as a demon as well. What a multi-talented duo!  

Most recently Hamish Swanson has been getting all political! He’s just won the Christmas Card Competition held by Anne Begg MP. His ‘mystery’ prize will be awarded when he and his family get to meet Anne later on this week. This follows on from his last exciting venture with the Government, when he sang for Scottish Minister, Alex Salmond, at the Marischal College last month, along with the Summerhill Boys Choir. Who knows Hamish, Scottish Minister today, Prime Minister tomorrow?
